BLOGS BY ONELOWERLIGHT

Who I am:
I am a BYU undergrad studying Political Science, Arabic, English, and Middle Eastern studies. I claim Massachusetts as a home, but I was born in Texas, raised in Illinois, and served a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormons") in Silicon Valley. One of my goals is to become a published Science Fiction writer. Another of my goals is to become fluent in modern Arabic. In the meantime, I blog when I should be doing other things.

Blogs I write:
Onelowerlight's Daily Photo Safari—my photoblog, updated daily since January 2007. You can access the old site (Jan07-Jul07) here. I carry a camera with me where ever I go and take pictures of the peculiar and interesting things that we tend to miss because of our focus on other things. I also take pictures of anything I see that generally looks cool. Since I'm LDS and a BYU student, most of my pictures are on life at BYU and Mormon culture in general. I currently use a Nikon coolpix L3.
Arab wa Gharab: Feen Al-Ekhtelaf?—Arab or Western, what's the difference? Kulna awlad tis3a—we're all human! A language learning journal where I attempt to write understandable Arabic and blog about my struggle to learn the language.
A Thousand And One Parsecs—my writing blog, where I post reviews of the books I read, progress reports on the Science Fiction novel I'm writing, updates on other stories I'm trying to write/sell/publish, and other thoughts and experiences as an aspiring writer of Science Fiction and Fantasy.
